Totally Locally - More Than A Shop Local Campaign

If every person in the Shipston-on-Stour  area spent just £5 per week in their local independent shops, instead of online or at the big supermarkets, it would be worth an extra £1.3 million a year going into the local economy. Which means more jobs, better facilities & a nicer place for us all to live. Makes you think doesn’t it?
Shipston on Stour is what you might call ‘a one stop shopping destination’. The charm of Shipston is that it has been protected from high street commercialism by its passionate independent traders and residents. Here you will find the most splendid places selling everything, from jewellery and designer giftware; home furniture; clothes, shoes & fashion accessories; locally produced breads, meats, fruits and vegetables. It even boasts its own clock shop, fishmongers and needlecraft emporium. The list is endless. With friendly locals and interesting shop keepers to welcome new faces, fine Georgian buildings to admire, a fascinating history to discover, and hidden gems waiting to be uncovered, there’s plenty to make Shipston on Stour a memorable experience.

What is Totally Locally? Totally Locally is an award-winning social enterprise and shop local movement. We support independent retailers with a free branding and marketing campaign for their town. Teams of volunteers use the campaign to promote the value of local shopping, celebrate their high street, create community events, and ultimately lift their local economy. Totally Locally is more than a shop local campaign, it’s about working together to lift a whole town. Since we put the Town Kit online in November 2012, Totally Locally has gone crazy. It’s in over 50 towns in the UK and many in Australia and New Zealand, with loads more telling us they are starting it in their town. It’s about people power. Totally locally has inspired huge local markets (one which included beach huts placed though a town!) , co working, Pop Up shops, Sunday openings in towns where it never happened, award winning events, produce swaps and much more. It’s up to you. And when people do something great we ask that they share the knowledge and give it away to all the other towns. That way we all thrive. If you’d like your town to go Totally Locally get in touch here
