MORE THAN A SHOP LOCAL CAMPAIGN

Totally Locally - More Than A Shop Local Campaign

If every person in the TICKHILL area spent just £5 per week in their local independent shops, instead of online or at the big supermarkets, it would be worth an extra £1.4 million a year going into the local economy. Which means more jobs, better facilities & a nicer place for us all to live. Makes you think doesn’t it?
Tickhill is a pretty little market town on the Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire border. There’s everything from Fine Art, Fashion and Food to great pubs, restaurants and cafes. Annual events such as the Gala, Scarecrow Festival, late night shopping, Tfest and the Tickhill Grand Prix bring people in from miles around to enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Most of our high street shops are independent, family-run businesses where you can be assured of a warm welcome.

Could our customers help us by sharing this post please, with the busy summer period approaching we are recruiting for a cleaner and waiting/bar staff. If you are an enthusiastic and committed individual we would love to hear from you. These are all permanent posts so applicants must be flexible, able to travel to and from work at unsociable hours if working within our front of house team, and be happy to work weekends. What is Totally Locally? Totally Locally is an award-winning social enterprise and shop local movement. We support independent retailers with a free branding and marketing campaign for their town. Teams of volunteers use the campaign to promote the value of local shopping, celebrate their high street, create community events, and ultimately lift their local economy. Totally Locally is more than a shop local campaign, it’s about working together to lift a whole town. Since we put the Town Kit online in November 2012, Totally Locally has gone crazy. It’s in over 50 towns in the UK and many in Australia and New Zealand, with loads more telling us they are starting it in their town. It’s about people power. Totally locally has inspired huge local markets (one which included beach huts placed though a town!) , co working, Pop Up shops, Sunday openings in towns where it never happened, award winning events, produce swaps and much more. It’s up to you. And when people do something great we ask that they share the knowledge and give it away to all the other towns. That way we all thrive.
