TOTALLY LOCALLY JOINS ROUND-TABLE WITH SHADOW CHANCELLOR

Totally Locally was invited to a round-table discussion hosted by Anneliese Dodds, Labour Chancellor of the Exchequer along with business owners in Hebden Bridge to discuss the challenges that businesses have faced in recent years.

If it’s one thing that the people of Hebden Bridge know it is resilience! After being hit with multiple floods in recent years, the pandemic has brought along another set of challenges that businesses have had to deal with. Some talked of having to adapt quickly to the sudden change in circumstances by changing their business model and retail premises to be takeaway-only. Some spoke of difficulties getting the available grants to keep going, others are also concerned about opening up again when they can’t do this at full capacity.

We spoke of our High Streets Online solution as a way for businesses to collaborate and keep the local economy strong … all the usual Totally Locally way, by working together with one voice!

It was great that MPs are willing to hear directly from us about our concerns and we can all help shape what future ideas and policy. You can read more about this here.
