OUR FIRST FIVER FEST AWARDS – THE FIVIES!

Since Fiver Fest went national, we have been blown away by all the inventive offers and creative displays to promote them as well as seeing the huge efforts that goes into running it across the UK. So we decided to have an awards ceremony to celebrate all this hard work!

Winners will receive our own designed, Eco, Wooden Trophy to display proudly in your shop or office, which has the added advantage of being flammable in case of gas shortages this winter! We think of everything.

Winners will also get a Totally locally Pin Badge and the warm fuzzy feeling knowing that you won which, let’s face it, is the best bit.

🏆 BEST COLLABORATION 🏆

Totally Locally Southend-on-Sea

Totally Locally Southend-on-Sea used to be for a smaller part of the area: Leigh-on-Sea, but recently changed their name and scope to cover a huge area! Their team is a collaboration of local churches, the Council and a local marketing company. They used every bit of the kit and templates to full-effect with the posters and social media templates.

Oh shucks. We’d like to thank our Mums, God….. and of course the wonderful independents of our Borough (soon to be City)… and never forgetting that inspiration that is the guys at Totally Locally and all the TL towns across the UK for being part of a tremendous gang!

🏆 MOST CREATIVE DISPLAY 🏆

In Faversham

The folks in Faversham really go to town.. figuratively AND literally… to promote their Fiver Fest with their bike festooned with manner of posters, bunting and t-shirted helpers.
What is nice about these awards is that they are so varied. Awards for marketing campaigns, for fundraising, for product, for customer service, for results and for working within the community. Both at a local and national level.

To see In Faversham be given an award for “Most Creative Display” by Totally Locally is one we are very proud of. It may not have a shiny trophy or a glitzy awards evening, but it’s about being part of something that is at the heart of what we do, working with our community and supporting our fellow business owners.

Thanks guys, this means a lot.

🏆 MOST IMAGINATIVE PHOTO 🏆

The Beat and Track

As Fiver Fest participants and independent record store “The Beat and Track” of Sherborne noted, £5 for a pair of Rock socks and a tote bag!!??……it’s a steal! 🤘🏻 This photo made us giggle but we hope the hooded thief didn’t make off without paying for at least one Fiver Fest deal.

🏆 MOST INVENTIVE FIVER FEST OFFER 🏆

Wild Story Connections

There have been some fabulously varied Fiver Fest offers this time round but a ghost story for a fiver is one of the most unusual! For just £5, a family could enjoy a slightly spooky storytelling in Burntisland, Scotland.

🏆 MOST INVENTIVE FIVER FEST OFFER 🏆

Joy Aitken School of Dancing

Offers were so interesting this time that we had to award 2 for the Most Inventive category. Joy Aitken School in Kinghorn offered a series of energetic classes including Highland Dancing!

🏆 TOTALLY LOCALLY CHOICE 🏆

Grainger Market

Chris was visiting Newcastle one day so popped into Grainger’s Market to check out their Fiver Fest and he was bowled over by their efforts! There were offers every direction he turned and great displays using posters and photocopied five pound notes. The photos of each market stall’s offers posted online really made us smile, everyone is just beaming and enjoying taking part.
We can’t start to explain how proud we are to get this award. What Chris and his team have created to support local business is outstanding and the Grainger Market traders who constantly get behind these events to support the market always make us proud. Well done everyone and thank you Totally Locally…. Thank you Totally Locally for supporting and caring for local traders all over the country
