The hard-working team in Clay Cross have really taken Totally Locally to heart and run increasingly popular Fiver Fests in their town. The Feedback we get from National Fiver Fest including Clay Cross has always been good anecdotally but North East Derbyshire District Council offered to analyse the data with analysis company Huq around these dates to get some cold hard statistics via their mobile app partners.
So what were their conclusions?
“We generally see a positive increase to overall footfall during months FiverFest is taking place… Comparing footfall volumes during FiverFest periods to non-event dates within the same month, we typically see an increase of between 9% and 41%.”
We are thrilled to see this – up to a 41% increase in footfall during Fiver Fest times is absolutely huge! Even a 9% increase is very welcome on our high streets. Out of the six Fiver Fests measured, 4 helped increase footfall above normal levels.
