We had an incredible day today at Octopus Group HQ with founder Chris Hulatt and his fantastic team, celebrating our win in the Springboard Entrepreneurs Awards.

Joined by five other amazing organisations, we were selected from hundreds of entries and we didn’t even know we’d been nominated. The awards celebrate entrepreneurs who “through their own hard work and bright ideas, have improved their local community or found innovative ways to make their business more sustainable.”

The day was packed with an enormous amount of invaluable advice from experts across Octopus Group, giving us a fresh perspective and useful advice on our strategy and future plans. It was also inspiring to hear about the business origins of the company and interesting backgrounds of all the subject matter experts.

It was so wonderful to meet and chat to all the very deserving and inspiring winners. Do check them out and all the great stuff that they do:

  • GW Power – a sustainable and ethical mechanical and electrical solutions company with a mission to decarbonise buildings.
  • Joyfully Different – a non-profit business support community and learning hub for neurodivergent business owners, freelancers and aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • WUKA – award-winning reusable periods pants, activewear & campaigner for removing VAT from female sanitary products.
  • Cooper King Distillery – award-winning whisky produced by 100% renewable energy.
  • Rainbow Fabrics – ethical & deadstock fabrics at affordable prices.

Huge thanks to Kevin Hollinrake and team for the nomination and Octopus Group for the award and advice.
