YOU MUST BE GETTING SERIOUS IF YOU’RE ON THIS BIT…

Short introductions and guides for some of the key elements in Totally Locally:

A Timeline: If you roughly follow this it will all be just fine…

1 Invite businesses to hear about Totally Locally
2: Get Your Team Together
3: Launch the £5 Message for Your Town (use press release & social media to promote)
4: Hold a Launch Event
5: After a month or 2 Join in with a National Fiver Fest (usually run in February/June and October)
6: A Couple of Months Later Launch The Magic Tenner Campaign
7: Go a bit Jazz & do what you like (you should have a good recognition of Totally Locally by this time
). You can do a Totally Locally Market, a Festival, a parade – anything.

Use all the bits below to back this up from the start – the Manifesto, Did you Know, The Declaration of Independents, the ‘We Recommend’ poster, etc.

Extra: Many Towns repeat the Fiver Fest 2 or 3 times a year. It works. With The Magic Tenner, some places have done a “Tenner Trail” with offers for £10. This works too. Do A Map with all the shops in your town (see examples on this site) and use them for events – people love them.
